Three teenage boys — Ali, CJ, and Jackson — smash, bash, and trash as much as they can in head to head competitions in this jackass-for-kids like reality show.

This particular show poses several challenges. Because a lot of the stunts require generators and pyrotechnics, some of the dialog that is recorded on set is unusable. Because of this we bring the actors in for each episode and shoot ADR or “Automatic Dialog Replacement” — This mean re-recording lines of dialog that may have been recorded on set, but are too noisy or inconsistent to use in a mix.

In addition to this, I record all of their voice over for the show.

The show is really fast paced and what makes this show fun is that there’s always a lot fo silly stunts that require additional sound design.

For instance in this clip the boys are shooting super-sized spitballs at one another. For this sequence we added all of the sound effects of the spitballs blowing and impacting.
